Experience

As a Principal in Frazier & Deeter’s Tax Practice, Kathleen Alfrey contributes more than 15 years of public accounting experience to the firm. Her industry expertise includes manufacturing & distribution, technology, solar energy and professional services as well as real estate developers, operators and individuals.

Kathleen has worked with a variety of middle-market companies and individuals assisting them with federal, state and international tax planning and compliance needs, tax strategy consulting, M&A transactions and assistance with income tax provisions and related reporting requirements. She has experience discussing and negotiating with the IRS and various state and local agencies regarding individual business audits, installment plan agreements and various related matters.

Kathleen has been formative in a range of professional and career development initiatives, including being the leader of the Women’s Initiatives Committee at her previous firm. In this role, she focused on planning events and presentations centered around the career growth and development of women and she helped establish a new learning and development program. This program was aimed at facilitating and improving the firm’s professional education and training needs at all staff levels.
