Experience

As a Senior Manager in Frazier & Deeter’s Tax Practice, Kay Shah has over a decade of experience in tax return preparation for pass through entities and high net-worth individuals. She has significant expertise with certain areas of foreign taxation such as FBAR, Form 8938, Form 5471 and GILTI tax calculation.  

Kay has worked with a diverse portfolio of clients to develop a deep understanding of key industries. She has experience in industries that include consumer retail, food service, business services and hospitality. Additionally, through research of various federal and state tax topics, Kay assists in training staff on current tax law changes.  

Prior to joining FD, Kay most recently served as Senior Staff Accountant at Shah, Dixit & Associates, P.C where she reviewed complex tax returns for C & S corporations, partnerships and high net worth 1040s. She resolved inquiries from federal and state authorities, and provided in-house training, supervision and mentoring to staff. Before this role, she served as Senior Accountant at Collins, Boike & Moore, P.A. where she prepared and reviewed various levels of tax returns and researched and implemented cloud-based services. She has held positions at SEPA Consulting and Sunag Corporation where she implemented various accounting procedures, reconciled general ledger accounts and prepared cash flow statements.
