Experience

As a Partner in FD Transaction Advisory Services, Brian Dermott leads a team of transaction professionals in the execution of financial due diligence on behalf of private equity groups and strategic corporate buyers. Brian has nearly 20 years of diversified financial leadership experience, including public accounting and executive leadership of a high-growth private equity platform investment.

Having previously served as the CFO and Business Unit Leader of FM Expressions, a private equity backed manufacturer and e-commerce retailer, Brian brings operational experience and a practical business acumen to his consulting engagements. He was responsible for the company’s financial strategy, including board and bank financial reporting, M&A analysis, organic corporate development, budgeting and forecast development and supply chain management.

Brian also previously led financial advisory services teams at other national accounting and consulting firms, serving a variety of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, technology and healthcare. He has significant experience on post-close accounting and implementation matters, including opening balance sheet analysis and development of reporting and KPI tools.
