As a Senior Manager to the Frazier & Deeter Tax Department, Kathleen Alfrey contributes more than 15 years of public accounting experience. Her effective problem solving, leadership and communication skills strengthen her ability to perform, review and supervise client engagements.
Kathleen has worked with a variety of closely-held and middle-market companies and individuals, assisting them with Federal, State, and International tax planning and compliance needs, tax strategy consulting, and M&A transactions, as well as assistance with income tax provisions and related reporting requirements. She has also been responsible for discussions and negotiations with the IRS and various state and local agencies regarding individual and business audits, installment plan agreements and various other matters.
Kathleen’s industry expertise includes the areas of manufacturing and distribution companies, technology companies, solar energy companies, professional service companies, real estate developers and operators and individuals.
She also has experience with a number of professional and career development initiatives. Kathleen was the leader of the Women’s Initiatives committee at her previous firm where she focused on the planning of events and presentations centered around the career growth and development of women, and also helped lead the establishment of a new learning and development program aimed at the facilitation and improvement of the firm’s professional education and training needs at all staff levels.
