Our Story
Founded on Thinking Differently
FD is now one of the largest and fastest-growing firms in the US, and we’ve won some awards along the way – Best of the Best, Best Firm for Women, Fastest Growing, Best Firm to Work For, to name a few. We think that’s because every day we focus on our brand promise of Investing in Relationships to Make a DifferenceTM.
In 1981, two Atlanta CPAs set out to do something different. Tired of the rigid and impersonal approach of their Big Eight firms, they envisioned a firm that put client relationships first. Jim Frazier and David Deeter aimed to hire people who were curious and wanted to get to know their clients at a deeper level, and it worked. People came from the largest accounting firms in the world, the PCAOB and great colleges — and they continue to do so over 40 years later.
Today, as a Top 50 firm, with locations in three countries and counting, our commitment to clients is at the heart of everything we do.
