Experience
Partner with Frazier & Deeter, Wayne Reid brings over 40 years of experience to the firm. Prior to joining the firm in June 2004, he was a partner with Deloitte & Touche and previously was a partner with Arthur Andersen where he served for over 32 years. Prior to that he worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a Field Auditor.

Wayne assists public and private companies with tax planning and compliance. He also helps C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships and Limited Liability Companies with structuring transactions, including IPOs with emphasis on tax minimization.

Industry specific experience includes working with real estate, hospitality, biomedical, technology and service related companies.

He was an active member of Andersen’s worldwide Technology Industry and Bioscience Steering Committees and Partnership Tax Practice Group. He was in charge of the technology practice and the Fast Tech 50 Program for Andersen’s Atlanta office. He also had firmwide responsibilities as a member of the Arthur Andersen Family Wealth Planning Practice and Specialty Team serving medium and large net worth families. He served on the Arthur Andersen worldwide Advisory Council.

Wayne has addressed numerous tax institutes and forums throughout the United States. He has written several articles, including one on using tax partnerships as an ideal vehicle for start-up ventures. He has also co-authored several Andersen publications on specialized areas including estate and gift tax strategies with focus on asset value freezes, technology companies, international investments in the U.S. and real estate.
