As an Audit Manager, JoAnn Gotschall is responsible for clients’ assurance needs and directs day–to-day operations of audits, reviews and compilations, as well as helping with the preparation of financial statements, in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) and the income tax basis of accounting. She is a member of the Real Estate and Employee Benefit Plan Services Groups.
JoAnn has significant experience performing assurance work in a wide range of industries, including real estate, employee benefits, manufacturing, small businesses and professional services. JoAnn has worked with a variety of institutions to develop a comprehensive understanding of their business and industry, consulting with upper management, project management, developing innovative business practices and assessing client risks. She also has experience dealing with retail, multi-family and industrial real estate companies.
As a member of Frazier & Deeter’s Employee Benefit Plan Services Group, she works with dedicated employee benefit professionals who can assist in all areas from plan audits to actual design of comprehensive employee benefit packages. The group audits qualified defined contribution, defined benefit and health and welfare plans.
