    Experience

    Beginning in 2020, Brent has worked on the firm’s strategic initiatives of automation, data analytics and quality control in order to scale operational efficiencies and highlight value-add opportunities for clients, as well as build new service lines. Brent also serves as COO/CIO for the Tax practice by managing daily operations and overseeing the technology and efficiency initiatives for the tax professionals across all offices. Brent also works directly with the Head of the Tax practice to ensure that the operational objectives of the department are achieved.

    Brent joined the firm in 2010 as an Associate in the Tax group and worked in the Tax practice for over nine years before transitioning to his current role. Brent’s experience was wide-ranging, as he was heavily involved in the firm’s ASC 740 practice for large private and public corporations. He was further responsible for conflict resolution matters regarding the IRS, including representation of the client during the audit process, where he has successfully overturned IRS assessments in the appellate process. Further experience encompasses performing due diligence in mergers & acquisitions, including analysis of tax attribute valuation and preservation.
