Grant Thornton Executive Beth Newton to Lead National Learning and Development Initiatives

Frazier & Deeter CPAs and advisors announced that Beth Newton, SPHR, formerly Senior Manager, Global People and Culture with Grant Thornton International, has joined Frazier & Deeter to lead the firm’s national learning and people development initiatives.

“Frazier & Deeter is the nation’s 10th fastest growing firm among the top 100 CPA firms and is on a rapid growth trajectory including new offices in new markets,” said Newton. “My experience and passion is to build a dynamic culture underpinned by our values, driven by our strategy and brought to life by our people. Frazier & Deeter is an ideal match for me because it is an entrepreneurial firm that is emerging on the national stage and is focused on investing in its people.”

“Beth is a leader with an impressive track record of accomplishments,” said Seth McDaniel, Managing Partner of Frazier & Deeter. “Beth’s experience effectively implementing firm wide people strategies within high-growth professional services environments will add tremendous value to Frazier & Deeter in our current stage of rapid growth.”

Prior to joining Frazier & Deeter CPA and advisors as the Director of Learning and Development, Newton performed in a variety of roles during 12 years with Grant Thornton. Most recently, she was responsible for development and execution of the global people and culture strategy for 110 member firms. She previously managed human resources in the US southeast region.

“We see the addition of a leader of people development as an important step that will support our goal of continuing to provide world-class client service as we grow,” said McDaniel. “Frazier & Deeter understands the need to invest in its future by adding roles like this one that will enable the firm to attract, develop and retain top talent.”

Newton earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia and her Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification from HRCI.
