Frazier & Deeter Names New Co-chairs of Manufacturing & Distribution Practice

Bill Godshall and J.R. Miller bring decades of experience supporting public and private manufacturing and distribution clients.

Atlanta, GA – Frazier & Deeter, a nationally ranked public accounting and advisory firm, announced today that Bill Godshall, Audit Partner, and J.R. Miller, Tax Partner, have been named the co-chairs of the firm’s Manufacturing & Distribution Practice.

Godshall, an Audit Partner and the leader of the firm’s Public Company Audit Practice, works with manufacturing, distribution and energy clients across the U.S. Godshall, who was formerly an Inspection Leader for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, also serves as the firm’s Assurance Quality Control Partner. He has 20+ years of experience with accounting and reporting topics common to Manufacturing & Distribution entities, including revenue recognition, inventory costing, foreign exchange and business combinations. In addition, Godshall has extensive experience with SEC reporting and derivatives, leases and foreign company accounting issues.

Miller, a Tax Partner with over 25+ years of experience, serves both U.S. and Global companies with a focus on manufacturing, distribution and retail. J.R. provides transaction advisory, structuring and consulting services to many of his clients. He works with his clients in structuring their businesses to minimize taxes across both U.S. and Global tax jurisdictions. J.R. also assists clients with specific tax strategies and methods of accounting to help minimize income taxes, including allowable tax methods of inventory accounting,  R&D tax credits for new technologies and improved processes, state and local tax incentives for new and growing companies, IC-Discs for export companies and cost segregation studies for added depreciation deductions to name a few. In addition he has successfully navigated many of his client through complicated IRS audits, Private Letter Ruling requests and Voluntary Disclosure Agreements.
