Frazier & Deeter, LLC announces intent to acquire Nashville–based Work & Greer, P.C.

Nation’s 77th largest accounting firm signals beginning of a national expansion initiative with its entry into the Nashville, Tennessee marketplace.

ATLANTA, GEORGIA (May 4, 2012) – Frazier & Deeter LLC, one of the largest independent certified public accounting firms in the nation, announced that they have reached an agreement to acquire the Nashville-based CPA firm of Work & Greer, P.C. The addition of Work & Greer represents Frazier & Deeter’s first acquisition outside its Atlanta, Georgia headquarters and signals the firm’s intent to expand into other major metropolitan regions.

“Work & Greer has a terrific track record of client service since its founding in 1982. They have developed deep industry expertise in serving public utilities, which represents a great strategic fit with our service offerings,” said Seth McDaniel, Managing Partner of Frazier & Deeter.

“We are excited about joining Frazier & Deeter, a firm we have known for many years and have long admired as a leader in our profession,” said Ronny Greer, Managing Partner of Work & Greer. “The Nashville has a vibrant business community and I believe that our merger with Frazier & Deeter will be very well received by our clients as well as the professional and business community.”

“Nashville is an exciting market and we believe we can make a positive professional contribution in the business community,” said Jason Meadows, the newly appointed Managing Partner of Frazier & Deeter’s Nashville office.  “In addition to being one of the country’s leaders in the healthcare industry, Nashville has a broad-based and robust economy representing many industries where we have developed deep expertise over our 30 year history.”

“In many ways the Nashville business community is reminiscent of the explosive growth conditions we saw when we first founded the firm in Atlanta in the early 1980s,” said David Deeter, co-founder of Frazier & Deeter.  “Since that time Frazier & Deeter has grown from a two person firm to one of the largest firms in the country and that growth was fueled primarily by client referrals.  We hope and believe that the culture we have developed of superior client service will be equally well received by the business leaders in Nashville who are making a difference in their business endeavors.”

Frazier & Deeter provides comprehensive services to clients in retail, manufacturing and distribution, technology, healthcare, construction, hospitality and real estate, nonprofit and more. Both firms serve a wide range of businesses from large and public corporations to small and mid-sized privately held companies and their owners.
