Seth McDaniel, CPA

Experience

Managing Partner Seth McDaniel brings 30 years of public accounting experience to serving Frazier & Deeter’s clients. Seth joined the firm after leaving the PCAOB, where he served as Associate Director. He primarily works with large and middle-market companies in the public and private sectors, with expertise in the real estate, technology, financial, healthcare and professional services industries.

While with the PCAOB, Seth helped to develop the accounting practice inspection program that is in place today; he was also instrumental in the evolution of the small firm inspection program. Other responsibilities were to oversee the nationwide inspection of a Big Four firm as well as several small firms. In 2004, Seth was the first person promoted within the PCAOB inspections division to Associate Director, making him the youngest Associate Director in the organization’s history at the time. Before participating in the first inspections in the history of the PCAOB, he was with a Big Four firm for several years. Seth’s career began at another Big Four firm, where he worked until 1997, before leaving to work on a specialized IPO transaction.

Seth has been instrumental in driving FD’s growth and development. In 2019, he was named an MP Elite by Accounting Today. This award honors ten Managing Partners who are setting new standards for leadership in the industry. Seth was also named a Most Admired CEO in Atlanta in 2019 in recognition of his role in the growth of FD and the numerous awards the firm has received during his tenure, including Best Firm to Work For, Best of the Best Firm and Best Firm for Leadership Equity.

Seth currently serves on the CPAmerica Board of Directors. He is also an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, where he formerly served on the Southeast US & Caribbean Region Board and the Southern 7 Chapter Board.
