FRANK P. KIMLER Director of Tax Operations frank.kimler@frazierdeeter.com Experience As Director of Tax Operations for Frazier & Deeter, Frank Kimler is responsible for providing a wide-range of specialized tax services to the corporate and individual clients of the firm. Frank is a member of the Real Estate Tax Services Group, where he focuses on real estate taxation, including real estate development and management organizations. He consults on a variety of tax issues and strategies, such as state and local tax matters, §1031 tax deferred exchanges, dealer versus investor strategies and investment tax credits. Frank also manages the tax area of the firm’s Non-Profit Services Group and specializes in providing tax consulting and compliance services for tax-exempt organizations, including many Sec. 501(c)(3) public charities and foundations. Frank’s experience with tax-exempt organizations includes Federal and State filing requirements, applications for exemption, Internal Revenue Service representation, and consultations to minimize or eliminate unrelated business income. He also works with a variety other organizations, such as trade organizations, civic leagues and private member clubs. In addition to his client service role at the firm, Frank manages all Tax Department operational activities. This includes overseeing tax methodology, processes, and technology. Prior to joining Frazier & Deeter in 2000, Frank worked for a national firm as a Specialist in the Federal Tax Group. There, he worked primarily in the area of corporate and partnership taxation for large, multi-state, multi-national organizations.
