Experience
Debi Jacobs joined the Employee Benefit Services Group of
Frazier & Deeter, LLC in 2006. She brings over 13 years of employee
benefit plan audit and consulting experience.
Prior to joining Frazier & Deeter, Ms. Jacobs was with the Employee
Benefit Plan Services Group of Ernst & Young LLP in Philadelphia.
She has also worked with prominent local CPA firms in Philadelphia,
as well as with employee benefit plan consulting and administration
practices in Atlanta and Huntsville, Alabama.
Ms. Jacobs specializes in audits of qualified defined contribution,
defined benefit, and health and welfare plans, including extensive
experience auditing plans required to file an annual 11-K with the
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Her clients have included
public, private and not-for-profit entities, spanning across all industries.
She has audited benefit plans ranging in size from 100 to 96,000 participants,
with assets ranging from $1 million to $2.4 billion.
Ms. Jacobs is responsible for quality control of the firm’s
employee benefit plan audits. In this role, she monitors and interprets
emerging accounting, auditing, compliance and reporting issues specific
to employee benefit plans, and communicates these developments to
audit teams and clients. She also works closely with clients to address
technical and document compliance issues, to enhance Plan fiduciaries’
understanding of and adherence to Department of Labor and Internal
Revenue Service regulatory requirements. Debi is dedicated to providing
exceptional client service by tailoring the audit approach to meet
the specific needs of each engagement.
Debi recently relocated back to metro Atlanta from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Accounting,
University of Alabama in Huntsville, Huntsville, AL, 1993, summa
cum laude.
