JEFFREY R. (J.R.) MILLER, CPA
Partner jr.miller@frazierdeeter.com Experience After spending four years in the tax department on an international accounting firm, J.R. Miller joined Frazier & Deeter, LLC in 1992 to provide his expertise in the areas of tax planning, tax compliance and financial business consulting. With more than 19 years of public accounting experience in providing effective tax strategies, he has established himself in a variety of industries, specifically manufacturing, distribution, technology and real estate. The focus of his tax and consulting experience encompasses C-corporations, S-corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships. In addition, he works with executives and wealthy families in helping protect, grow and transfer their wealth to the next generations. J.R. is also instrumental in assisting clients with properly reporting financial results through audit and accounting services. Also, J.R. has extensive experience in helping clients with international tax issues. He is a member of the Real Estate Services Group and the Manufacturing & Distribution Services Group of Frazier & Deeter. J.R.’s corporate tax expertise has allowed him to help industry clients with restructuring, raising capital, and maximizing the value of their businesses. Most recently, he has helped a manufacturing client restructure their business, obtain a senior credit facility with a major financial institution, and maximize shareholders’ value by selling the business with an effective tax strategy to minimize taxes. Additionally, J.R. has experience assisting clients with Mergers and Acquisitions. He has been instrumental in facilitating and structuring transactions to maximize the business economics and to minimize taxes for clients selling their businesses. Recently, he has helped a real estate client structure the sale of their portfolio with asset values exceeding $500 million. He served as the head of the Frazier & Deeter Tax Department,
before joining the Frazier & Deeter Executive Committee. In his
role as partner in charge of the Tax Department, his responsibilities
included streamlining tax methodology and processes, and advancing
the technological capabilities of the department. |
