The PCI Security Standards Council is a global organization for the ongoing development, enhancement, storage, dissemination, and implementation of security standards for account data protection. Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) Companies are independent security organizations that have been qualified by the PCI Security Standards Council to validate an entity’s adherence to PCI Data Security Standards (DSS). All major credit card brands require merchants to adhere to the PCI DSS.
