Chris Hooper Named Managing Principal of FD Consulting

June 16, 2010 (Atlanta) — FD Consulting, the newest of the Frazier & Deeter business services offerings, has elected Chris Hooper as its Managing Principal in the United States.

Zerbe Joins FD Alliance Nonprofit Industry Advisory Board

June 3, 2010 (Atlanta)- The FD (Frazier & Deeter) Alliance has added Dean Zerbe to its National Nonprofit Industry Practice Board of Advisors. "We are pleased to add Dean's advice and counsel in the non-profit arena," said FD Alliance Chair David Deeter . Frazier & Deeter to Conduct International Financial Reporting Focus Group with Fortune Companies

May 10, 2010 (Atlanta) – Atlanta headquartered CPA firm, Frazier & Deeter, is hosting an event this week to uncover the preferences of company financial executives in adopting International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Participants of this focus group include public and private companies that range from middle market to Fortune 100. The meeting will be facilitated by Frazier & Deeter and will include several other IFRS experts from the United States and Germany .

There will be six issues discussed during the meeting: Current Landscape, Timing, Assessing scope and preparedness, Challenges, Resources, and Assistance Requirements for adopting and converting to IFRS. The attendees represent companies that are considered best-in-class in their respective industries.  Frazier & Deeter plans to summarize the observations and comments to help the market place better understand the issues and concerns that all companies may by considering as they evaluate the impact of adopting IFRS in the near term.

Frazier & Deeter pleased to announce release of the 2010 Atlanta Technology Executive Compensation Survey

April 20th, 2010 (Atlanta, GA) Atlanta headquartered accounting firm, Frazier & Deeter, LLC is pleased to announce the release of the 2010 Atlanta Technology Executive Compensation Survey. Frazier & Deeter has been working with Technology Executives Roundtable “TER” to collect data from Atlanta's premier technology executives to compare and contrast components of executive compensation for technology companies in the Atlanta marketplace. The results of the survey were released today, April 20th.

We are pleased to be part of Atlanta's Technology Executives Roundtable. Frazier & Deeter has the expertise to service the technology industry and has demonstrated the ability to help public and private technology companies address complex financial accounting, tax and audit matters.

COMPENSATION SURVEY
The TER compensation survey includes information on the compensation levels of CEOs, CFOs, sales executives, and engineering/development executives in the Atlanta marketplace. In addition, the survey examines which companies modified their stock options by offering lower exercises price given recent economic events. Frazier &Deeter is pleased to be a partner in this process.

Frazier & Deeter Appoints Bill Godshall to Head of Audit Department

March 15, 2010 (Atlanta, GA) William (Bill) Godshall has been appointed by the accounting firm of Frazier & Deeter to lead the Audit Department. His career highlights fourteen years with big four accounting firms and the position of inspection leader at the Public Company Accounting and Oversight Board (PCAOB). This experience afforded him the knowledge to reengineer the Frazier & Deeter audit methodology and oversee continued quality control efforts. These factors made the decision to transition him into the department leader an easy one.

Godshall has delivered numerous presentations on fair value measurements, better known as mark-to-market accounting. His involvement in large, complex IPO and M&A transactions has provided to be one of the greatest catalysts to his success. At the PCAOB, he helped to develop the training program for full-scope inspections and the inspection methodology for audits of internal control over financial reporting. He also wrote the inspection guidance for derivative accounting and auditing areas that is in place today.

With Frazier & Deeter's implementation of a new strategic plan, which promotes vision, values, and their mission of “serving to protect and further the success of their clients and people,” Godshall is seen as the man who fits the bill.

Godshall's outlook on his recent appointment, “It is humbling to be entrusted with such an important role in an established and reputable firm like Frazier & Deeter. ABOUT BILL GODSHALL
Bill joined the firm in 2005 with experience working in the energy, manufacturing, financial services, and services industries. In addition, Bill has extensive experience with complex accounting topics such as IPO transactions, derivatives, leases, business combinations and impairment of long-lived assets.

Involvement in community is a vital principal to Godshall.  He is very active with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS) and is a long-time participant of their annual "Light the Night ” fundraising walk. This spring he will participate in LLS's Man of the Year competition. Godshall is also a member of the Fernbank Museum Corporate Leadership Council.

Godshall resides in Sandy Springs with his wife and three sons. Godshall has been an active adult leader in Boys Scouts and is also the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 623, chartered out of St. Jude Catholic Church in Sandy Springs.

Seth McDaniel Announced as Frazier & Deeter Managing Partner

January 22, 2010 (Atlanta, GA) Frazier & Deeter has elected a new managing partner. As of January 1, 2010, the role of managing partner has shifted to Seth McDaniel. McDaniel is a former director at the Public Company Accounting and Oversight Board (PCAOB). Significantly, this is the first time a non-founding partner has been named to this role.

At the PCAOB, Seth helped to develop the accounting practice inspection program that is in place today. Other responsibilities were to oversee the nationwide inspection of a Big 4 firm as well as several small firms. He also was instrumental in the evolution of the small firm inspection program. Because of his demonstrated value to the organization, he was the first person promoted within the PCAOB inspections division to Associate Director; making him the youngest Associate Director in the organization's history.

His practical experience has helped Frazier & Deeter create a methodology for assurance and audit practices that protect the interests of clients and shareholders. McDaniel's credentials also lend credibility to privately-held clients of the firm, as the rules affecting public companies slowly translate into more fiscal responsibility in the private arena.

Commenting on his role, Seth McDaniel said, “I am humbled by the opportunity to follow both Jim Frazier and David Deeter as the next managing partner of Frazier & Deeter. They have built an incredible legacy, and I look forward to continuing our traditions of exceptional client service and providing a great work experience for our people.”

The transition of McDaniel becoming managing partner stems from the corporate governance that outlines how long an individual can act in the role of managing partner at Frazier & Deeter. Over the past year, he and David Deeter have worked closely together to plan a smooth and effective transition for the firm. At 53, Deeter will continue to focus his efforts on board activity, serving his clients and practice development.

David Deeter, founding partner of Frazier & Deeter said, “Seth McDaniel will be a good leader for the continued success of Frazier & Deeter. I am looking forward to the innovations and growth the firm has plans for over the coming years.”

ABOUT SETH MCDANIEL
McDaniel joined the assurance department in 2004 and has more than 18 years of public accounting experience. In 2005, he was named the head of the Frazier & Deeter Assurance Department. McDaniel's areas of specialty include working with large and middle market companies in the public and private sector. He has experience in the service, technology, healthcare, real estate, and financial institution industries.

His career began at KPMG, where he worked until 1997.  He left to work on a specialized IPO transaction for a Georgia company. Also, he worked at Deloitte & Touche for several years before participating in the first inspections in the history of the PCAOB.

Barbara and Billy bring a tremendous amount of experience and expertise to our clients and we are proud to have them as members of our leadership team. Barbara S. Borczak, CPA
Barbara Borczak provides specialized tax and accounting services to privately held businesses, their owners and executives. With more than 13 years of client service experience, she is established in a variety of industries, including real estate, construction, manufacturing, retail and distribution, professional services, and investment management. Barbara works closely with individuals and closely-held businesses, focusing on planning opportunities to minimize their corporate and personal income tax liabilities.

As a leader in Frazier & Deeter's Real Estate Services Group, Barbara consults on tax matters affecting real estate operations and assists in planning for specific transactions. In particular, her expertise includes structuring tax-deferred transactions, partnership mergers and acquisitions, compensatory partnership interest issues, complex partnership allocation calculations and inbound/outbound foreign investments.

In addition to her work for the Firm, Barbara is actively involved with the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). She is a 2004 graduate of the GSCPA Leadership Academy , and currently serves as the Chairperson of the GSCPA Real Estate Section Leadership Committee.

Before joining Frazier & Deeter, Barbara spent two years working with a national firm, and two years with a local firm gaining tax and accounting experience.

William B. (Billy) Daniel, Jr., CPA
As a partner in Frazier & Deeter's audit and assurance practice, Billy Daniel's primary focus is assisting multi-national companies and large corporations with SEC reporting and technical accounting issues, such as business combinations, restructurings, international finance, audits, and general accounting.

Billy's areas of expertise and experience lie within a variety of industries, including, but not limited to; transportation, consumer products, healthcare, manufacturing, insurance and telecommunications.

Prior to joining Frazier & Deeter in 2007, Billy worked as an External Reporting Controller for United Parcel Service (UPS) and has 10 years of experience working for Big 4 accounting firms, both internationally and in the U.S. He also worked on The Coca-Cola Company engagement as a senior manager. In addition, he spent two years in Brussels , Belgium managing U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting.
