Kris Spain joined Frazier & Deeter in 2009 as a partner in the firm's assurance services practice. Kris has 38 years of experience providing assurance and business advisory services to clients in the retail, restaurant, distribution, manufacturing and services industries. Within these industries, she has served a broad range of public and privately-held companies.

Prior to joining Frazier & Deeter, Kris spent over 35 years with Ernst & Young. She has extensive experience in strategic transactions and complex business, accounting and reporting matters. She uses her experience to provide insights and help her clients reach sound and practical conclusions.

Kris actively participates in industry associations and networks.  She served on the Financial Reporting Council of the National Retail Federation for over 20 years. As a result, Kris is very knowledgeable with respect to new and proposed accounting and reporting rules that will impact her clients and helps her clients to anticipate the impact of proposed rules and effectively implement new ones. Kris also applies her knowledge to help her clients reduce risks, as well as implement best practices.

Throughout her career, Kris has also been a leader in initiatives to develop and promote women in public accounting.
